I've ordered it so I'm waiting for it to arrive. I like the look of the art style which seems to be quite in t fashion at the moment.

I agree with Qazi, so here are some of my highlights

Overall I loved it and the soundtrack is awesome too.

Good for you, management like this tend to only care about the balance sheets and not the work or the workers. I'd have a backup plan, agency or whatever, but just basically be a passive pain int the arse, use your rights to looks for other work on their time and remember only gross misconduct can get you fired at this point :)

You probably have already seen this but just in case

Sorry to hear about that Randy. The best advice I can think of is being honest on your CV and trying to list a constructive list of task and talk about the ones you felt you are best at.

Do you have any big employers local to you? by this I mean Universities, Hospitals as it might be worth having a look there and tailoring your CV to anything that looks relevant.

An agency is a good option if you get stuck, but in my experience some put you forward for any old thing that might vaguely match your CV.

I've been made redundant three times and I left the last job when they started going through organisational change as I couldn't bear going through the process again, so I really do feel for the situation you are in at the moment as I know how hard it can be.

Yeah Automata is open world which will hopefully be similar to Nier, as it was nice just to wander about at times.

I really enjoyed the demo and the combat was really slick and fun, so much I completed it twice and have started to try and understand the combat system.

I also managed to open up a shortcut, not that it was much use, but hopefully means there are secrets and shortcuts littered about the place.

I think it looks pretty decent but then I'm not as bothered by graphics as long as it runs smooth.

Don't worry the servers still aren't totally stable, so you will probably have a better experience when it does arrive :)

OPM are doing some official special move cards

Handy to have if you are swapping between characters but not sure they are worth £5.99 even if you do get a magazine free :)

Someone has created a JSR radio :) Not all the tracks are from JSR but the ones that aren't are inspired by JSR, a very cool site if you like the tunes from JSR.

In some ways I personally think it is the sort of game David Cage try's to make but doesn't quite manage.

#286735 Bloodborne (was Alpha now full game)

Posted by plopboy on 03 April 2015 - 08:10 PM

I've just change the title as I am currently addicted to this game. of THIS GAME.

I'm only a few bosses in but by gum this is good. It feels like a return to Demon's but with the lessons learnt from Dark Souls and a full graphics upgrade but still has a few ganky moments :) .

Things that I like so far

  • No Estus, back to farming health items. I believe this view is controversial but I tend to explore places and learn from enemies and find new bit by doing the farming.
  • More reliance on parrying, especially early game.
  • Gun parrying is cool :)
  • The whole gothic, Cthulhu saying looks and feels great
  • The maiden in black is back, sort of
  • Real sense of empowerment as you progress
  • The lore has a real sense of what is God and why, like Demon's
  • Combat is as good as the previous souls games
  • Echos (souls) when lost due to death, can be stolen by enemies which must be defeat to retrieve them
  • Enemy design is really good

On the bad side there is some slow down and summoning is a bit tricker but for me this makes me feel the same way when Demon's clicked.

It is difficult to talk about the game without be spiolerific but I absolutely adore this game.

Posted by plopboy on 19 August 2014 - 11:30 AM

EU and NA release dates

Freedom Wars will launch in North America on Tuesday, October 28th. It will be available both as a digital download and at retail, and it will cost $29.99. In Europe, Freedom Wars launches on Wednesday, October 29th digitally, and on Friday, October 31st at retail.

Should you choose to pre-order the game before it launches from "participating retailers" or via PlayStation Network, you'll get DLC that's identical to the pre-order DLC the Japanese audience got when the game launched there earlier this year. Those bonuses include a "Limited Edition Costume" (Formal Wear), "Powerful Starter Weapons" (Heavy Melee and Rocket Launcher), a "Limited Edition Sticker Set" (in-game), and a "Combat Pack Item" (Medical Supply Set).
