Release date-me-do!

QUOTE
Microsoft has announced that Mass Effect, the sci-fi themed RPG for Xbox 360, will hit the shops on 23rd November.

It's being developed by BioWare, the studio behind Knights of the Old Republic and Jade Empire. They're describing it as "an epic space saga that spans the entire galaxy".

You take on the role of veteran soldier Commander Shepherd, who is on a mission to stop some other bloke invading everything. The choices you make affect how the game's storyline plays out.

"The best games bring players into an immersive, realistic world that is fun to explore from beginning to end," said BioWare boss Greg Zeschuk.

"We've achieved that in Mass Effect by putting the player at the center of a compelling, cinematic storyline full of realistic characters and hundreds of exciting locations." Confident then.

Awesomeness!

In Topic: Locoroco hitting ps3

Sony has revealed that LocoRoco Cocoreccho! on PS3 won't be a game, but an interactive screensaver with which you can interact. Interactively.

Once you've sat looking at your telly for long enough the experience will begin, putting you in control of a little butterfly who has to wake the singing LocoRoco up. When they do, you'll have to guide them around the level, tilting branches and other platforms using the motion-sensing Sixaxis controller.

Along the way, you'll bump into one of the three mini-games that reward you with more LocoRoco, but you'll also come across threats like the hungry Moja who will gobble you right up. If you lose too many of your blobs, the big boss BonMuncha will wake up. Uh-oh. If you see him its interactive screensaver over.

All in all there will be 200 LocoRoco to roll around, all drawn in lovely 1080p style, plus online rankings for you to compete for.

But unfortunately there's no word on a date or price yet, although Sony has said it will definitely be this year and won't be free

Interesting, although odd.

In Topic: New Version Of PlayStation 3 To Go On Sale In August; Sony Cuts Price On Olde...

Sony America has confirmed it has no 60GB PS3 units left in stock, so what you see on retail shelves is all that's left. For ever.

Its popularity was prompted by its new USD 499 price tag, announced alongside the new 80GB model in July. Sony later revealed it would be discontinuing the smaller model across the region, clearing the way for its new SKU.

Now, once all of the 60GB models are sold in the US, your only option will be the 80GB unit at USD 599. Better hurry down to Wal-Mart.

Us Europeans were left out of the price cut party, but did receive added value in the form of an extra Sixaxis pad and two Sony-published titles.

Tbh, I saw xvid on the feature list and thus figured it was fake, so haven't posted these, as they've been knocking about for a it.

Will gladly be proven otherwise, of course.
